Crystal Salazar is the Parent Leadership Specialist with Partners Resource Network. She is responsible for training parent leaders on the ARD process; making parent matches and helping parent reach their goals in creating community change. She also serves as a parent on the board for the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities at the University of Texas in Austin.
Prior to working with Partners she worked in property management as well as the medical field. She has volunteered with Special Olympics since she was 8 yrs. old and continued volunteering with several agencies including The Shelter for Battered Women, Southwest AIDS Committee, Juvenile Justice System, and wounded soldiers. She has hosted several events including a Peers Helping Peers Symposium for high risk teenagers in her hometown of El Paso TX.
Crystal is currently studying Business Management and has a goal to continue improving services for individuals with disabilities in Texas.
